Whether you’re already a cask owner or just curious, this is your chance to get closer to your whisky. You’ll soon be able to visit your cask in person, sample how it’s maturing, and see what Speyside has to offer.
Why Forres Is the Perfect Place to Start
Forres is a beautiful, peaceful town in northeast Scotland, often called the “Flower of Speyside.” It’s just 30 minutes from Inverness Airport and makes a great base for whisky fans who want to explore distilleries, nature, and history.
You’ll be surrounded by more than 50 famous distilleries, cosy hotels, and stunning views. From Moray Firth’s dolphin-filled coastlines to the ancient forests of Cairngorms National Park, there’s plenty to see and do around your whisky adventures.
3 Distilleries You Shouldn’t Miss
Speyside is known for big names like The Macallan, The Glenlivet, and Glenfiddich—but there are also some smaller gems that offer amazing experiences with fewer crowds.
1.Strathisla Distillery
Founded in 1786, this is the oldest working distillery in the region—and one of the prettiest too. It’s the heart of Chivas Regal and Royal Salute, known for its smooth, fruity Speyside character.
2.Benromach Distillery
Just down the road from our warehouse, Benromach is a small, family-owned distillery that focuses on traditional craft. Expect bold flavours, limited batches, and a very personal tour.
